OMS School Profile

Welcome to Orrville Middle School

Orrville Middle School officially opened its doors to students on January 23, 2008, and currently serves approximately 550 students in grades 5 through 8.

Our modern facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology and engaging learning spaces. Each classroom features an interactive CleverBoard, and every student has access to a Chromebook through our 1:1 technology initiative. A dedicated computer lab supports digital learning and research. Beyond the classroom, students benefit from a spacious gymnasium, a fully resourced library, and two beautifully designed outdoor classrooms nestled in our courtyards—spaces that continue to impress visitors and enhance the student experience.

The Orrville community takes great pride in this vibrant and innovative educational environment.

Our Philosophy

At Orrville Middle School, we believe that every student has the ability to learn, grow, and thrive as a thoughtful and contributing member of the community. Our educational approach emphasizes relevant, challenging, and exploratory learning, designed to foster development across academic, social, and emotional dimensions.

We are committed to creating a safe and respectful environment where all students are supported by both family and school. We recognize that the middle school years are a critical time of growth and decision-making, and we strive to provide the guidance and encouragement students need to make healthy, informed choices. Strong collaboration between home and school is essential to each child’s success.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Orrville City School District, in partnership with parents and the community, is to inspire all students to become successful, lifelong learners who are prepared to responsibly contribute to our community and society.
