Orrville City Schools Food Program

Orrville City Schools is proud to participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), offering healthy, well-balanced meals to help students stay focused and ready to learn. Our goal is to provide nutritious options that meet USDA guidelines while appealing to student tastes.

What’s on the Menu?
Each school day, students can choose from a variety of freshly prepared menu items. Typical options include:

  • Entrées such as hot sandwiches, pasta dishes, or baked chicken

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables from our salad bar or daily sides

  • Low-fat and fat-free milk choices

  • Whole grain breads and pastas

Balanced Meals for Every Student
A complete school lunch includes the following key components:

  1. Protein – such as lean meats, cheese, yogurt, or legumes

  2. Whole Grains – bread, pasta, rice, or tortillas made with whole grains

  3. Fruits – fresh, canned (in juice), or frozen

  4. Vegetables – a variety of colorful, nutrient-rich vegetables

  5. Milk – low-fat or fat-free white or flavored milk

Students are encouraged to select items from each group for a balanced meal. At least one fruit or vegetable serving is required with every lunch.

USDA Compliance
Our menus follow all USDA nutrition standards for school meals, which set limits on calories, sodium, and unhealthy fats while ensuring students have access to nutrient-dense foods.

How Students Buy a Lunch
Meals are available for purchase in the cafeteria each day. Students simply enter their lunch PIN number at the register to have their meal deducted from their account.

Loading Money to an Account
Families can add funds to their child’s lunch account in two ways:

  • Online: Through our secure payment system. Click here.

  • In Person: By sending cash or a check to the school’s cafeteria manager (please include your child’s name).

We encourage families to keep accounts funded to avoid interruptions in meal service.
