Orrville’s track and field program delivered an outstanding performance at the regional level, with several student-athletes earning top placements and the opportunity to compete among the best in the State of Ohio.

Leading the way was Owen Lacy, who captured a regional championship in the 3200-meter run and added a fourth-place finish in the 1600-meter run. His impressive distance performances highlight his dedication, toughness, and ability to compete at an elite level.

In the hurdles, Bronson Rogers earned a fourth-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles, securing his place among the top competitors in the region. Rogers also joined teammates Cole Cecil, Aiden Shoup, and Caden Race as part of the boys' 4x100-meter relay team, which earned recognition through its strong regional performance.

Orrville also had an impressive showing in the field events. Mark Lorson claimed a regional title in the high jump and added a third-place finish in the long jump, showcasing his versatility and athleticism. Caden Race also earned a regional championship with a first-place finish in the pole vault, while Keenen Pertee placed fifth in the same event. On the girls’ side, Maddie Craft had an excellent performance in the pole vault, finishing second at the regional meet.

In the throws, Tate Howell represented Orrville with a strong fifth-place finish in the shot put, adding to an impressive list of regional placers for the Red Riders.

These accomplishments reflect not only the talent of Orrville’s student-athletes, but also their hard work, preparation, and commitment throughout the season. Their success at the regional level is a tremendous source of pride for the school district, their coaches, teammates, families, and the entire Orrville community.
