Orrville’s Be Elite Lifting Program completed its 4th summer of work this Friday, and capped off what has been an exceptional summer of hard work from members of our Girls Soccer, Volleyball, Girls Basketball, Cross Country, Track, Softball, Tennis, and Swim teams.    In addition to the pictures attached, here are some of this summer’s highlights: -Monday speed workout days were led by Coach Doug Davault, challenging the girls to push themselves after relaxing summer weekends  -Weight room strength training and technique were taught and supervised on Tuesdays and Thursdays by Coach Weatherwax, Coach Stuart, Coach Summers, and Coach Yurik.  The girls hit numerous PRs (Personal Records) this summer!  -The 1st ever Be Elite Lift-a-Thon raised over $1200 for the Be Elite program! The girls tested their strength in bench, squat, and hang cleans, and put up numerous personal records! Those numbers are now hanging in the weight room.   -Some of the funds raised went towards covering a trip to the Go-Ape Zip-Line and Ropes course in Strongsville, while the team enjoyed Culver’s after!  -Friday Morning runs were led by Coach Shumney!  These included numerous team challenges, scavenger hunts, and a good sweat worked up!  As we end the summer, we coaches extend a thanks to all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, siblings, and friends, who help support our athletes and allow them to be part of programs like this! Here’s to year 5 next summer!
